IHow do I apply for a vacancy?

  1. Determine the key selection criteria, which may include: objectives and purpose key responsibilities and tasks qualifications and experience key capabilities
  2. Relate key selection criteria to current skills or those required to develop. Once you have considered these factors and made a decision to apply, create a cover letter for your current CV. This should outline how your skills and experiences relate to the position applied for.
  3. Create or review your resume, with key areas that you should include:

Personal information, include name, address, contact details, etc Career Goals - a statement of what you are looking for in your next position

Education - a list of all qualifications you have obtained. including secondary education, tertiary studies, TAFE courses and any courses completed at work. You may also wish to include any professional memberships you hold

 Work History - chronological listing of all the roles you have had from most to least recent. To be clear, give: Title of Role, Length of time in Role, Key Duties, Major achievements, Reason for Leaving.

Referee Details: Two reference checks will be conducted before a job offer can be made. It is Oxford policy to do two reference checks. We suggest you provide details of people that have managed you previously and would be happy to be conducted by phone.
